This is just a basic article to introduce you to water filtration. This is important for drinking, cleaning, showering, plants, and for humidifiers. I will eventually update it into a real article discussing water pathogens in depth. Last updated 10/30/2022
As a reminder, water filtration is extremely important for humidifiers. Unclean water makes your air quality significantly worse.

Different Water Purifiers have different certifications even within the same brand
Again, using this link (https://www.wqa.org/find-products#/), I can search Coway Water Air Purifiers. Ensure your water purification is certified.
So for example, if a Water filter/purifier has NSF Protocol P231-2003: Microbiological, then it’s certified to reduce, “Bacteria, Cysts, Viruses”. Sometimes the standards overlap each other or are different based on product category.

Some filters do filter out certain contaminates better than others or worse.
